Open Call: Design residency at Schloss Hollenegg for Design on the craft of silver making

Schloss Hollenegg for Design and the Finnland-Institut, Berlin, invite emerging Finnish designers and designers based in Finland to apply for a residency from 19 to 30 September 2025 in Schloss Hollenegg and Vienna.

Schloss Hollenegg for Design and the Finnland-Institut, Berlin, invite emerging Finnish designers and designers based in Finland to apply for a residency at Schloss Hollenegg near Graz in Styria/Austria. During the residency the chosen designer will have the opportunity to understand the craft of silver making and produce a piece with historical Viennese silversmith Jarosinski & Vaugoin. The residency will take place from Friday 19th to Tuesday 30th September 2025 in Schloss Hollenegg and Vienna. Travelling and accommodation are covered plus a 700 euros expenses reimbursement.

To apply you must be of Finnish nationality or be resident in Finland. Please submit your CV, portfolio and motivational statement. All documents should be saved as ONE PDF file (max 6 MB and 10 pages) to: schlosshollenegg@gmail.com. Your portfolio should show a strong personal style, high-quality work, conceptual thinking and research skills. Previous knowledge of the material is not required. The deadline for submission is Sunday 29 March 2025 at midnight (CET).

Ihre Leidenschaft für Design und ihr Wunsch, die Designkultur sowie aufstrebende und talentierte Designer zu fördern, hat sie dazu bewogen, das Projekt Schloss Hollenegg für Design zu starten.

Since 1821, Schloss Hollenegg has been the property of the Liechtenstein family. Alice Stori Liechtenstein's passion for design and her desire to support design culture, as well as emerging and talented designers, has brought her to start the project Schloß Hollenegg for Design.
