PRESENTATIONS AND PANEL CONVERSATION as part of a scientific conference organised by the Greengrowth – Green Growth and Sámi Stakeholders research group.

The seminar will present ongoing research from the Greengrowth-project on questions related to the conflicts on the ‘green’ shift and Indigenous rights in the Nordic countries. Conflicts over land rights and land encroachments by extractive industries, often termed ‘green colonialism’ have implications for the processes of reconciliation between the Indigenous Sámi and the majority populations in the Nordic countries. The seminar presents insights on contemporary conflicts and historical reflections on reconciliation.
