PERFORMING ARTS AND MUSIC ON INSTAGRAM LIVE.

Starting from 11 November, 2020, we will be bringing culture straight to your living room via an Instagram Live session with different interesting artists from the Finnish performing arts scene. Every Wednesday at 19:00 Central European time, 20:00 Finnish time @finnlandinst.

The protective measures against Covid-19 have affected the performing arts more than many other occupations: performances, gigs, and rehearsals are being postponed or cancelled, and artists’ income security is at stake.

Our institute has a great appreciation and passion for the performing arts, and we therefore wanted to find a way to support the industry and those hit the hardest. Why not simultaneously provide people with a splash of joy during a newly-started lockdown in most parts of Europe? Out of these ideas, #LivingRoomLive was born.
